Tennessee region is having a National Rallycross Challenge aug 29 and 30th at our new site in Manchester Tn.
It is behind John Roberts Toyota 2610 Hillsboro road, Manchester Tn 37355 their phone is phone 931-723-4444

test and tune will be saturday morning until noon, $10
the Event will start 1pm central time satruday and go that day till we are finished, resuming sunday morning at 9am and go till early afternoon with awards following. cost is $65 {rain date is sunday if saturday gets Heavy rain. We would start earlier on sunday and run the event as quickly as possible so it would still be finished by mid to late afternoon}
this event is sponsored by K+N filters and Mequiars car wax. If you wax your car before an event it will clean up easier and will look better if you get your picture in Sportscar magazine or Grassroots motorsports magazine, they both covered our last natinal event, and posted pictures of many cars. And some guys even made it onto the SCCA calender. [MAY was the month]
K+N obviously makes your car go faster and we all want that, and gives you a way to clean and re-clean your airfilter instead of buying new ones all the time.

our hotel and base is going to be
the Ramada Inn
2314 Hillsboro Blvd
US 41 & I-24
Manchester, TN 37355 US
931-728-0800

http://www.ramada.com/Ramada/control/Bo ... andInfo=RA

Mention SCCA when you make your reservation to get the discount. Cost is $50 per room for 1 or 2 people if you have more than that in one room talk to 'NISH' or nancy and see what they will charge you.
This includes an executive continental breakfast each morning.

They have a beautiful breakfast buffet area that we are going to use saturday night for eating, drinking and socializing. there will be a large bucket with ice if you need a place to keep beer cold, food will be delivered from nearby 'Wingers' they deliver for free and we'll call in orders periodically through out the evening and have them delivered. Their web site is
http://www.wingers.info/
oh and there is a pool just off of the breakfast area, no glass by the pool, but you are welcome to take a dip, as long as you are wearing a bathing suit. [i guess in the past they had trouble with beer drinking and skinny dipping]

There will not be online registration, but i will start another thread of "I'm coming and driving XXXX car in XXXX class" you don't have to post there to enter the event, but it will give everybody a better idea of how many are coming and in which specific class, so please post there.

a valuable prize from K+N [anybody need an intake???]
i am in the process of getting some stuff from Amsoil.

This is great!

You can either PM Randy (jr4jc) or me.

At some point on Friday, we will be setting things up, so if you get there early enough to help us with that also, that'd be awesome. If not, thats cool.

The 'official' hotel is listed above, and that's where Randy and a few others will be Friday and Saturday night.

This blog has the location googlemapped:

thanks for coming and helping, we should be to manchester by noon to 1pm friday august 28th, i have to pick up several things along the way that morning. find us either at the hotel- probably won't be there but 10 minutes to sign in and drop off a couple things.
or at JOHN ROBERTS TOYOTA the owner of our site--and where the bus is kept
or the field directly behind home depot, and adjacent to john roberts toyota
but we sure can use the help!!!

it looks like it ISN'T going to be blistering HOT like august usually is.

our last event which was in mid july was about 79 degrees overcast with a gentle breeze, could we have a repeat!!!!!

EVERYBODY sign up for "i am coming, driving XXXX in class XXX" forum, that gives me an idea how many trophy's to get.
if nobody signs up in a particular class then i won't have a trophy made up for that class.
WILL YOU STILL GET ONE????
yea but i'll have to go back and have it made, then ship it to you.
this means more expense to me and my club ;(
this means NO trophy to recieve and hold up at the event for pics.
this means a wait till you get your trophy and when you do you will be alone and your dog will look at you funny as you hold it up bragging to him of how you 'appreciate the admiration and respect of everybody present to day' as you shake is hand and smile ;)
it won't be the same if you get my drift.
