We have all watched Stig Blomqvist do crazy things in his rally car. Well here is your chance, in slow-mo. Enjoy the sights of the land between the lakes as you navigate the smooth gravel and enjoyable twisty paved back roads. Don't want to get your nice car dirty. Rent one for the day. That is what insurance is for.

What Is A Road Rally (a.k.a "Time/Speed/Distance Rally")?

A Road Rally is not a race.
A Road Rally is not illegal.
A Road Rally does not require special equipment.
A Road Rally is an amateur event.
A Road Rally encourages novices to participate.
A Road Rally is a lot of fun!

In a Road Rally, each team of two people (a driver and a navigator) is given a set of route directions to follow, and the speeds at which they should travel the route. The route will generally consist of rural and quieter back roads. At the very least, you'll have a nice drive in the country! (More info: http://www.goss.com/rrhchap1.htm )

I want to be Stig Blomqvist Rally is a Time/Speed/Distance event that starts from 2109 Dover Road(HWY 453)Grand Rivers, Kentucky 42045. Registration will begin at 11:00, drivers meeting and route will be handed out at 11:30, and the first car leaves at 12:00.

$20 PER CAR
$15 PER NON-MEMBER

My wife and I were going to try and make it, but we just found out about it last week, and it's not looking good with our schedule...

Sounds really fun, though. It must, if it tempted Laura to go to a 'car event!'

How often do these event occur around here ? i would love to try and participate in one of them but this is a little short notice for me. i only say the post yesterday.
