Motion to approve competition report:

Steve Bunce (2nd)
Old Business:
Richard Darnell says the club is back on the lookout for insurance for the bus. Apparently the company he had in mind is not returning his phone calls.
New Business:
Karen Becker brought up the idea of an alternative to trophies. She, like many other club members, has accumulated many glasses and mugs. Her suggestion was to have an option of receiving a glass or some sort of voucher, such as $5 off your next entry fee.
Richard suggested we think about it and bring it up at the next meeting.
Paul Becker suggested something similar to a 'Subway' card, where you get a card stamped after each win (in lieu of receiving a glass). After the entire card is filled (5 wins for example) the holder is entitled to one event with no entry fee. Bob McKeown suggested dash plaques.
Richard motioned to keep trophies and explore the option of giving vouchers.
This was 2nded by Dan Chadwick.
Steve brought up the idea of a 'season pass.' His thought was that you would pay for 20 events ($400) in advance, but be able to show up and run all events held that season (possible total of 22).
Richard motioned that we think about this as well for the next meeting, which was 2nded by Alan.
Paul thinks the club needs 5 additional radios, especially when we host large events. Richard motioned that we purchases 5 new radios, but that the purchase should be made out of track revenue and not club $. This was 2nded by Don Smith.
Richard thinks the club needs better and more reliable timing equipment, as the current equipment has no backup. He suggested that if someone runs over the timing equipment and destroys it, that they should have to pay for it.
Paul motioned for Steve to buy one sending unit, which was 2nded by Dan. Wendell says that the club needs to discuss changing the belt system on the bus.
Bob McKeown needs to rent the bus and computer for his Alpha Club event the weekend of June 23.
Richard thinks we need to charge an automatic $350 fee the use of our equipment.
Wendell says the club has never received less than $500.
Paul suggested that we come up with some sort of price structure based on what we provide. Paul motioned that we charge $250 for radios and cones, $350 is the computer is involved, and $600 if workers are provided. Insurance would be charged on a case-by-case basis.
Alan motioned to adjourn at 8:35.
